What this means
llms.txt is a small file at the root of your site that gives AI assistants a curated map: your name, a one-line summary, and links to the pages you most want them to use. It is to assistants what a sitemap is to search engines, but hand-picked.
It does not force anyone to read you, and it does not replace good pages. It removes friction. When an assistant is deciding what to cite, a clean llms.txt makes your best pages the easy choice.
The format is plain Markdown, so keep it honest and current. Link the pages that answer real questions, write summaries a human would, and update it when your important pages change.
